With the threat of eviction looming, Lily and Bella set out to find the documents to prove Lily's rightful ownership. When all attempts fail, Bella turns to JR, the son and heir to the Stockard estate and asks for his help. JR is with the military and has come home for the closing of the sale. He agrees to help and soon meets Indie - a retired military dog. Indie takes a liking to JR and as their bond grows so does his relationship with Bella.
